Habits for Success at CHA
1. Show up—Every school day.
2. Be in your seat on time for every class.
3. Follow CHA Dress Code. Bring your ID.
4. Bring backpack, homework, notebook, paper, pencil, pen.
5. All electronics mute and in backpacks before entering the building.
6. Chew gum responsibly in the building & drink water anywhere.
7. Eat food and drink juices only in student commons—CLEAN
UP.
Dress Code
1. Dress professionally. This is your workplace. Students must be
neat and clean.
2. Students are not allowed to wear any type of revealing clothing:
no saggy pants with boxers showing, no halter tops, no low cut blouses,
no belly buttons or bra straps showing. Skirts and shorts must be
no more than 3” above the knee cap.
3. Tee shirts with alcohol, tobacco, drugs, gang related, racist
or offensive messages on them are not allowed. Wear shoes for walking.
4. Ball caps, beanies, hoods and hats may not be worn inside the
classrooms. On Fridays, if all students have cooperated with the
rules, Hats may be worn.
5. Kerchiefs and doo-rags are never allowed at school. If necessary,
you will be sent home to dress properly or parent/guardian will
be called to bring appropriate clothing.
Tech Lab Rules
1. Tech
Lab is a FOOD & DRINK free environment.
2. Students are allowed in Tech lab only with staff supervision.
3. Your teacher will assign the computer, which will be your responsibility
for the class period.
4. Wait for your teacher’s instructions before starting the
computer.
5.You will be issued a password to the network. You may personalize
your desktop.
6. The Internet is for homework and appropriate research.
7. Inappropriate sites, chat rooms and downloading are forbidden.
8. E-mail & games, are allowed after school only.
9. Be prepared to work—bring all necessary materials.
10. Print only with teacher’s permission.
11. Save your files only in your own folder.
12. Log off the network.
13. Leave the Tech Room clean and tidy for the next class. Remove
all paper and trash and personal items from the computer stations.
Place furniture in the proper places.
14. Last class of the day, shut down computer and monitors.
15. Using the Tech Lab is a privilege and a responsibility. If you
perform an illegal operation, you may be deleted.
